Vice President, Inventures
Stan Moyer has over 24 years of experience in the communications industry. He worked for 21 years in the Applied Research area of Telcordia Technologies, where he was the strategic research program manager responsible for overseeing Telcordia's long-range R&D program and helping to monetize its output. Additionally, Stan was involved with research and business development activities related to Internet privacy, mobile messaging, digital content services and home networking. He has published over thirty technical articles in refereed journals and magazines and holds four patents.
At Inventures, Stan currently serves as the Executive Director for ONVIF, SD Card Association, and the IoT Ready Alliance. Past clients include the OVCC, LoRa Alliance, and the Smart TV Alliance.
Prior to coming to Inventures, Stan was president of the OSGi™ Alliance for five years and served on the board for a total of ten years. He has held many volunteer leadership positions in the IEEE Communications Society and other parts of the IEEE during the past 20 years. Currently he is Chief Marketing Officer and a member of the Board of Governors of the IEEE Communications Society.
Stan received an M.E. degree in electrical engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology, an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix, and a B.S. degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Maine.
